Panel Discussion Tonight: Extra Credit Opportunity

Some of you may be interested in an event tonight featuring Professor Hal Herzog of Western Carolina University. He will be leading a panel discussion about the ethical dilemmas posed by our relationship with animals, which is the topic of his recent publication Some We Love, Some We Hate, Some We Eat: On Our Attitudes Toward Animals. The panel is in the St. Francis room (located on the lowest level of the library) from 5:00pm-6:30pm. To get there, go through the main doors of the library and take the stairs on the right (before the circulation desk). Look for the signs to the St. Francis room.

Please consider attending and writing a blog post, which you may cite as an example of your engagement in the Project One Self-Assessment (due Tuesday). If you do attend, reflect on what you learned via a post in ePortfolio. What was interesting? Did anything make you question your current thinking? During the panel discussion, did you feel you were deeply engaged or strategically engaged? Do you see any connections between this lecture and your course work?
